1 - PREAMBLE
These special terms and conditions are entered into between any customer of the www.decathlon.ch site (hereinafter referred to as the "Vendor Customer") and the www.decathlon.ch site (hereinafter referred to as the "Site") published and operated by DECATHLON SPORTS SWITZERLAND SA (hereinafter referred to as "Decathlon"), registered in the Geneva Commercial Register under number CHE-106.127.042 and whose registered office is located at Route de Meyrin 171, 1214 Vernier.
With regard to the Reprise service, the Site restricts the use of this service to Sellers who are private individuals and who use it on a normal basis. Misuse or access of the Site is strictly forbidden.
Use of the Site implies unreserved acceptance of these special conditions and of the general conditions of use of the Site by Vendor Customers. These conditions are subject to change. It is therefore understood that the applicable conditions are those in force on the Site at the time of use.
2 - PURPOSE
The Trade-in service offers a Sales Customer the opportunity to buy back their used sports product. The Sales Customer will receive the trade-in amount in the form of a voucher Decathlon corresponding to the amount of the buy-back of his product by Decathlon (hereinafter the "Voucher").
3 - SERVICE FUNCTIONALITY
The Trade-in service allows the Seller Customer to:
- offer their used product for trade-in,
- simulate a trade-in price from the Site,
- Following validation in a Decathlon store, receive a purchase voucher, valid in Decathlon stores (in Switzerland) and on the Site.
The list of functionalities is provided for information purposes only. The Site reserves the right to add or remove features, temporarily or permanently, without the agreement of the Vendor Customer.
- offer their used product for trade-in,
- simulate a trade-in price from the Site,
- Following validation in a Decathlon store, receive a purchase voucher, valid in Decathlon stores (in Switzerland) and on the Site.
The list of functionalities is provided for information purposes only. The Site reserves the right to add or remove features, temporarily or permanently, without the agreement of the Vendor Customer.
4 - TRADE-IN CONDITIONS
The Service is reserved exclusively for the used products listed below:
- DECATHLON brand products authorized by the Site, including but not limited to B'twin, Rockrider, Wed'ze, according to the conditions defined by the Decathlon organizing store (hereinafter "Organizing Store");
- products from other brands under the conditions defined by the organizing store,
- in excellent or good condition. Returns are possible under the following conditions: only in Decathlon stores offering the Service, the Vendor Customer's used product meets the criteria set out herein, The organizing store has the capacity to receive the product, particularly but not exclusively for bulky products (bicycles, fitness equipment, etc.). In addition, it is hereby specified that all products purchased by the Vendor Customer in contravention of the rules laid down by law are prohibited. > Acceptance of motorized products under certain conditions: Certain motorized products (e.g. scooters, electric bikes, treadmills, etc.) may be returned under the following conditions:
- For electrically-assisted bicycles (hereinafter "EABs") → Decathlon only takes back Decathlon brand VAEs. → Service not available in all our sales outlets. The Site is set up to offer the Take-Back service in the Decathlon sales outlets offering it. On the other hand, in particular but without limitation, in the event of incorrect selection by the Customer Seller, the Customer Seller could be offered a trade-in offer at the end of the "pre-deposit" path and redirected to an organizing Store. Therefore, Decathlon invites the Sales Customer to make sure before moving that the proposed Decathlon store actually provides the Service.
- For electric scooters → Decathlon only takes back electric scooters purchased from Decathlon by Xiaomi, Wispeed, Globber, Oxelo, Segway-Ninebot and Mirco, → Service not available in all our outlets. Our Site is set up to offer the Service in outlets Decathlon offering it. On the other hand, in particular but not exclusively, in the event of an incorrect selection by the Vendor Customer, the Vendor Customer could be offered a trade-in offer at the end of the "pre-deposit" process and redirected to an organizing Store. Therefore, Decathlon invites the Sales Customer to make sure before moving that the proposed store actually provides the Service. The Vendor Customer accepts that the return of this type of product can only be validated after an electrical diagnosis has been carried out by the Organizing Store, which proves to be consistent with the state of wear announced by the Vendor Customer at the time of pre-deposit. The following products, in particular but without limitation, are not eligible for the Take-Back service: ● Motorized products other than those described above, ● Carbon bicycles.
- DECATHLON brand products authorized by the Site, including but not limited to B'twin, Rockrider, Wed'ze, according to the conditions defined by the Decathlon organizing store (hereinafter "Organizing Store");
- products from other brands under the conditions defined by the organizing store,
- in excellent or good condition. Therefore, Decathlon invites the Sales Customer to make sure before moving that the proposed store actually provides the Service. The Vendor Customer accepts that the return of this type of product can only be validated after an electrical diagnosis has been carried out by the Organizing Store, which proves to be consistent with the state of wear announced by the Vendor Customer at the time of pre-deposit. 5 - DEPOSIT
The Vendor Customer deposits his product in two stages:
- Simulation of the trade-in price on the Site,
- Deposit of the product and validation of the trade-in at Decathlon. 5.1 Simulating a trade-in price via the Site
To simulate a trade-in price via the Site, the Customer-Seller must :
- Own a used product eligible for the Trade-in service,
- Log on to the Site,
- Go to the drop-down menu,
- Click on the "Resell my products" tab,
- Click on "I want to start my trade-in",
- Fill in the following information on the "we buy back your product at the best price" page: product type / product brand / original price / product age / visual condition / repair,
- Find the nearest Decathlon store to take back your product using the location tool,
- Certify that the products sold are not on the list of excluded products,
- Read and accept the Site's general terms and conditions,
- Read and accept the special conditions of the Trade-in Service, An estimate of the trade-in price is then displayed.
The Sales Customer can then go to the Store organizing the trade-in to physically deposit the product.
The Customer-Seller undertakes to carry out the simulation in good faith.
In the event that the information provided on the Site does not correspond to the check carried out by the technician in the Decathlon store, or is incorrect, the return may be refused:
- Be offered by the organizing store at a price different from that announced at the time of the online deposit,
- be refused by the organizing store without compensation,
- In the event of erroneous information, the Organizing Store cannot be held responsible for any consequences arising from the Sellers' Customer's error.
- Simulation of the trade-in price on the Site,
- Deposit of the product and validation of the trade-in at Decathlon. 5.1 Simulating a trade-in price via the Site
To simulate a trade-in price via the Site, the Customer-Seller must :
- Own a used product eligible for the Trade-in service,
- Log on to the Site,
- Go to the drop-down menu,
- Click on the "Resell my products" tab,
- Click on "I want to start my trade-in",
- Fill in the following information on the "we buy back your product at the best price" page: product type / product brand / original price / product age / visual condition / repair,
- Find the nearest Decathlon store to take back your product using the location tool,
- Certify that the products sold are not on the list of excluded products,
- Read and accept the Site's general terms and conditions,
- Read and accept the special conditions of the Trade-in Service, An estimate of the trade-in price is then displayed.
The Sales Customer can then go to the Store organizing the trade-in to physically deposit the product.
The Customer-Seller undertakes to carry out the simulation in good faith.
In the event that the information provided on the Site does not correspond to the check carried out by the technician in the Decathlon store, or is incorrect, the return may be refused:
- Be offered by the organizing store at a price different from that announced at the time of the online deposit,
- be refused by the organizing store without compensation,
- In the event of erroneous information, the Organizing Store cannot be held responsible for any consequences arising from the Sellers' Customer's error.
5.2 Depositing the product in store
Following the price simulation on the Site, the Vendor Customer will be invited to visit one of the organizing Stores indicated by the Site in order to make the deposit.
At the time of the deposit, the organizing Store will :
- Collect information about the used product,
- Propose a buy-back price for the used product,
- If the Sellers' Customer agrees, a contract will be signed between the Organizing Store and the Sellers' Customer, setting out the buy-back conditions and the immediate transfer of ownership of the product to the Organizing Store,
- This contract and the payment will be sent to the Vendor Customer's account.
- Once the contract has been signed, a summary e-mail is sent to the Merchant Customer.
It is understood that the estimated price given by the Site has been calculated on the basis of the data provided by the Vendor Customer and does not constitute a firm offer of a trade-in price. In the event that the second-hand product deposited in the Decathlon store does not correspond to what the Vendor Customer has declared, neither the Site, nor Decathlon, nor the organizing Store may be held liable for the potential refusal to take back the Vendor Customer's product, or for a price proposal lower than the estimated offer made during the simulation. The Vendor Customer understands that no compensation may be claimed in this respect.
The Vendor Customer is hereby informed of the application of legal obligations relating to the fight against handling stolen goods and to the keeping by Decathlon of the register of resellers of movable property. In particular, the Vendor Customer must present a valid identity document on the day of deposit in the Decathlon store in order to benefit from the Service.
The Vendor Customer accepts that Organizing Shops are free to:
- offer or not offer the Take-Back service,
- take back any type of product other than those specified herein,
- modify the trade-in price or refuse to accept the trade-in: our Site is set up to offer the Service at Decathlon outlets. On the other hand, and in particular but without limitation, in the event of incorrect selection by the Vendor Customer, the Vendor Customer may be offered a trade-in offer at the end of the buy-back price simulation process and redirected to an organizing Store. Accordingly, Decathlon invites the Vendor Customer to make sure that the proposed Decathlon store actually provides the Service.
Following the price simulation on the Site, the Vendor Customer will be invited to visit one of the organizing Stores indicated by the Site in order to make the deposit.
At the time of the deposit, the organizing Store will :
- Collect information about the used product,

6 - METHOD OF REDEMPTION FROM THE SELLER - PURCHASE VOUCHER
The Vendor Customer accepts that the purchase price of his used sports product will be remitted to him in the form of a Purchase Voucher.
The Purchase Voucher generated by the Reprise service will be obtained by the Customer Seller by email, immediately after the signature of the Reprise contract validating the transfer of ownership of the product(s) and their repurchase by the Organizing Store.
The Purchase Voucher cannot be reimbursed, even partially, or replaced in the event of loss or theft, or at the end of its validity period.
The e-mail containing the Purchase Voucher will be deemed to have been received by the Vendor Customer once it has been sent to the e-mail address provided by the latter.
Under these conditions, we advise our Sales Customers to :
- Check the e-mail address given when signing the contract and update the e-mail address given on their customer account Decathlon,
- Check the junk mail in your e-mail account. The Vendor Customer is solely responsible for the information, and in particular the e-mail address, provided on their Decathlon account and on the contract signed with the Organizing Store. The Site, Decathlon or the Organizing Store cannot be held liable in this respect. In the event of reception problems, the Organizing Store will use its best efforts to download the aforementioned Purchase Voucher to the Seller Customer's Decathlon occasions account via the "My Purchase Vouchers" tab. Should the amount of the voucher exceed CHF 200, Decathlon will send the amount in several vouchers. The voucher may be used under the following conditions:
- valid for 5 years from the date of purchase of the second-hand sports product(s) by Decathlon from the Customer-Seller.
- in all Decathlon stores in Switzerland;
- on the e-commerce site;
- on all products available in Decathlon stores;
- on a new or used product offered by a Decathlon store (in Switzerland).
- Check the e-mail address given when signing the contract and update the e-mail address given on their customer account Decathlon,
- Check the junk mail in your e-mail account. The Vendor Customer is solely responsible for the information, and in particular the e-mail address, provided on their Decathlon account and on the contract signed with the Organizing Store. The Site, Decathlon or the Organizing Store cannot be held liable in this respect. - in all Decathlon stores in Switzerland;
- on the e-commerce site;
- on all products available in Decathlon stores;
- on a new or used product offered by a Decathlon store (in Switzerland).
7 - LIABILITY
7.1 Store responsibility
The Store carries out an inspection of the products taken back. A Store technician checks the safety points of the equipment. This check is carried out at the time of delivery to the Store. Once the inspection has been completed, if the products are eligible for the Service but require repair, the Store will carry out the repairs. The Store undertakes to sell only safe products.
The Shop is responsible for keeping a register of movable property in order to prevent thefts.
7 - SELLER'S LIABILITY
7.2 Customer responsibility
The Customer-Seller undertakes to entrust the Store with used products in working order, free from any defect or fault that would render them dangerous or unfit for their intended use. In any event, the Vendor Customer undertakes to inform the Store of any potential product defects.
The Vendor Customer undertakes to be the owner of the second-hand products he/she transfers to the Store. The Customer Seller will be recorded as the seller of the product in the register kept by the Store. In the event of a police investigation, the Store will be obliged to hand over the information contained in the register. In this way, the Vendor Customer may be held liable in the event of suspected concealment.
8 - COMPLETENESS
If one or more stipulations of these special conditions are declared null and void by application of a law, regulation or following a final judicial or administrative decision, the other stipulations will retain their force and scope. The Site will use its best efforts to replace the invalid provision as soon as possible with a valid provision that is as close as possible to the spirit of these terms and conditions. The fact that one of the parties has not demanded the application of any clause of the present conditions, whether permanently or temporarily, may in no case be considered as a waiver of the said clause.
If one or more stipulations of these special conditions are declared null and void by application of a law, regulation or following a final judicial or administrative decision, the other stipulations will retain their force and scope. The Site will use its best efforts to replace the invalid provision as soon as possible with a valid provision that is as close as possible to the spirit of these terms and conditions. The fact that one of the parties has not demanded the application of any clause of the present conditions, whether permanently or temporarily, may in no case be considered as a waiver of the said clause.
9 - APPLICABLE LAW
These special terms and conditions are governed exclusively by Swiss law.
