FIVB APPROVED
This beach volleyball has been designed to meet the expectations of the International Beach Volleyball Federation.
After multiple tests in practice by professional players and in the laboratory, the Federation has recognized and validated the ball's conformity for use in official international competition.
OFFICIAL WEIGHTS AND SIZES
The ball meets official beach volleyball standards:
WEIGHT: Between 260 and 280 grams
SIZE 5: Between 65 and 67 centimetres in circumference
RESISTANCE DESIGN
This 12-panel ball is hand-stitched for even greater resistance.
It is laboratory-tested and subjected to 5,000 throws on a cement board at a speed of 50 km/h. It won't deform or burst, and the seams are highly resistant.
THERMAL RESISTANCE
We carry out an oven test at 66°C for 6h30 to observe the accelerated ageing of the product and check that its initial characteristics, such as pressure retention and resistance, remain identical at the end of the test.
WATER ABSORPTION
We test the balloon by rotating it continuously in 2cm of water for 6 hours. At the end of the test, the balloon has gained no more than 15% of its initial weight.
The "SEAM CLOSING" process limits water ingress and hides the stitching threads between panels for even greater resistance.
RESISTANT INFLATION
We have chosen a bladder made from 80% butyl to guarantee a more resistant inflation.
The counterbalanced bladder guarantees a better trajectory thanks to the uniform distribution of its weight.
AT THE RIGHT PRESSURE
Did you know that a beach volleyball needs to be less inflated than a volleyball (indoor)?!
We can't tell you enough: a well-inflated ball means a good game, or almost!
0.18 to 0.22 bars for a beach volleyball / (0.3 bars for a volleyball)
If you don't have a pump with a pressure gauge, feel for it - it should be very soft and flexible to the touch.
