The BARRIO project: the beginning of a story dedicated to Street Football
The Barrio project was born of a meeting between street soccer fans and legends, with the shared aim of promoting the sport.
Whether you call it Street Football, Street Soccer or Foot de rue, it's the freest and most practiced form of soccer in the world. It's where the greatest stories are often born, from lampposts to floodlights.
So if you too can only be stopped by the night, join the circle and become part of the BARRIO story.
Design made in Street
In association with the famous S3 Freestyle team, we launched a competition on the networks to design our 1st ball dedicated to Street Football.
With 20 designs in competition and after several thousand voters, it was the artist @haniazg who won the challenge with his design for the Barrio ball.
Our design teams then took over to turn the design into reality.
Unique design for the ultimate gaming experience
All Street Football enthusiasts, it's by talking, listening and playing with footballers that every property of the ball has been pushed to its maximum to encourage play on urban pitches made of concrete, asphalt, short synthetic and carpet.
With its reduced size, intermediate bounce (higher than a futal, but lower than a traditional 11-a-side soccer) and textured resistant component, this ball will be your best ally on the pitch.
An asphalt-proof balloon
To validate and optimize the ball's resistance on abrasive concrete, asphalt, synthetic short and carpet pitches, we tested many different materials with a unique protocol: we propelled each prototype 100 times at 120 km/h on the asphalt city stadium at our design center. This enabled us to identify and select the most abrasion-resistant component of all.
