WHEN TO USE THE BREAKFAST BAR
The bar replaces breakfast and is consumed 1h30 before an endurance effort, be it a race, trail run, bike outing, etc. If your training or competition takes place in the middle of the afternoon, you're free to eat it as a snack.
A RECIPE CREATED BY A NUTRITIONIST
To meet the needs of sportsmen and women, the recipe was developed with a nutritionist. The result: 2 bars contain everything you need to avoid fatigue during an endurance effort. Bonus: we wanted to combine efficiency and naturalness. Our bar contains few ingredients for maximum performance.
A BREAKFAST BAR THAT'S EASIER TO DIGEST
During an endurance effort, digestion counts, especially for comfort. The texture of our bar is dense, which facilitates digestion. We explain why. When we chew, we secrete saliva. This helps to compact food, and also contains enzymes that help digestion. In our recipe, we've also added freeze-dried pineapple, which also contains enzymes.
A BRIEF TOUR OF THE SUPPLY SIDE
Our breakfast bar is made in Spain. As far as raw materials are concerned, we have selected the supplies that make the most sense to us, depending on where they are produced.
AND WHAT ARE ALL THESE INGREDIENTS REALLY FOR?
- Honey, gluten-free oatmeal and rice syrup for energy.
- Pea protein for protein intake
- Cocoa and chocolate chips for taste (chocolate version)
- Almonds for taste, protein and good fats
- Freeze-dried pineapple to aid digestion
- Magnesium and vitamins B6 and B12 to reduce fatigue.
- Vitamin C, an antioxidant, and vitamin B1 for normal energy metabolism. Vitamin C, an antioxidant, and vitamin B1 for normal energy metabolism.
WHEN CHEWING IS IMPORTANT
Let's face it: on the morning of a race, eating is sometimes more a matter of necessity than real pleasure (thanks stress!). Well, the breakfast bar may not be as supple as fruit paste, but it's easy to chew. The pea protein (which crunches slightly under your teeth) not only whets your appetite, but also triggers the action of chewing, which in turn activates your digestive enzymes and the accompanying digestion process.
THE CHALLENGE BAR: A DESIGN CHALLENGE
We're not going to hide it: there was a lot of testing... But that's what it takes to achieve perfection, isn't it? ;)
Our numerous technical constraints also explain the format breakfast bar: 40 g rather than 80 g, so 2 bars for a complete breakfast.
In short, as you may have guessed, this bar is "the challenge bar", as Juliette, our product engineer, so aptly describes it. Are you up to the challenge? You tell us!
