How to care for your billiard balls
Balls wear out as you play, so regular maintenance will prolong their life.
Before or after each game, it's a good idea to rub your balls with a cotton cloth. In addition to restoring the shine and luster of the balls, a vigorous rubbing will help them regain their gliding quality.
We recommend cleaning them from time to time with a little washing-up liquid, lukewarm water and a cloth.
Shall we say marbles or balls?
In soccer, I use a ball; in tennis, a ball; in pétanque, boules. Each sport has its own vocabulary, depending on the equipment used and the correct gesture required. And our sport takes its name from the word "bille". So if you want to play billiards, you're going to have to use balls, not boules. Another clue? Yes, we don't say boulard, we say billard.
