WATERPROOFING
- 2-layer membrane fabric
- A heavy rain corresponds to a flow of 100L/m2/h - (= rainfall of 100mm/h)
- The rainfall simulator reproduces these conditions for 3 hours.
- Component resistant to a water pressure of 15,000mm
- Water-repellent components (water runs off the fabric).
- 100% taped seams.
- Central opening with gutter flap for optimum waterproofing.
RESPIRABILITY
Sleeves
The jacket has 2 sleeves on each sleeve to limit water ingress.
Velcro adjustment makes it easy to slip a pair of mittens or gloves over the first sleeve, then tighten the sleeve sleeve over it.
Hood adjustments
It has 2 adjustment systems:
- an adjustment on the head to adjust the hood to the depth of the face
- an adjustment on the neck to press the hood against the face and limit the passage of air and water. The visor also helps protect the face when water runs off.
The hood can be stored in the collar.
Comfortable details
The collar is fleece-lined for added comfort.
The pockets are also fleece-lined for warmth while sailing.
WEAR RESISTANCE
Central zippers in injected plastic resistant to salt oxidation.
Outer fabric with good abrasion resistance.
step 1: before washing
Close all zips and flaps and remove any non-washable parts of the garment. Also remember to loosen straps and elastics and empty pockets.
Then turn the garment inside out to wash inside out.
step 2: washing your jacket
You can wash your jacket in a synthetic program at 30° or 40°C with your usual detergent. Do not use fabric softener, which could damage the garment's original performance, and of course do not use bleach.
Make sure you don't fold your jacket too much when you put it in the washing machine, and limit the load.
Very important: select a thorough rinse or double rinse to remove all detergent residues.
step 3: drying your jacket
Drying is essential to reactivate the water-repellent treatment.
We recommend that you let your jacket dry completely in the open air, flat on a drying rack. Never dry your jacket directly on a radiator.
Then tumble-dry on the synthetic program for a short time, i.e. 10 to 15 minutes, before putting it back on.
HOW TO REACTIVATE THE WATER REPELLENCY OF YOUR JACKET?
If, despite washing, rinsing and tumble-drying, water droplets no longer run off the surface of your jacket, we recommend "re-waterproofing" it with a spray sold in our stores.
