TECHNICAL INFORMATION

HOW TO CHOOSE THE MATERIAL FOR YOUR SWIM CAP?

MAILLE:
Designed in a fabric similar to swimwear, it slips on easily, without pulling the hair. A finishing seam runs around the head to guarantee support.

MAILLE ENDUITE :
A variation on the mesh cap, it is just as comfortable. It is covered with a layer of silicone that reduces water ingress and limits its elasticity in favor of support.

SILICONE:
Less comfortable but very elastic, it provides excellent support and limits water ingress.

ARE THERE OTHER TYPES OF SWIM CAPS?

There are several alternatives to standard bathing caps to suit everyone's needs:

- brushing caps: made of mesh, they are highly stretchable.
- waffle caps: made of Latex, they slip on without pulling the hair.
- volume or extra volume caps: made of Silicone, their shapes leave more space for full head of hair. volume or extra volume cups: made of silicone, their shapes leave more space for full heads of hair.

- molded or shell cups: made of silicone, these are the cups for competitors.

- neoprene cups: perfect for open-water swimming.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT SWIM CAP SIZE?

S, M, L, One size fits all... How do I find my way around?

The choice is pretty simple: fabric and coated mesh cups come in sizes (S, M, L), while silicone cups are designed in one size only because they are very stretchy.

To help you find your way around, here's a quick guide based on your head size:
- XS: 50-52 cm. (available in the baby department)
- S: 53-56 cm.
- M: 56-59 cm.
- L: 59-62 cm.
- One size: from 53 to 62 cm.

HOW TO PUT ON A BATHING CAP?

Did you know? Bathing caps have a meaning!

Mesh caps have a central band designed to go from front to back. For silicone bathing caps, the fold line (visible when the cap is flat) is designed to go in the same direction as the previous ones.

Next, place both hands together inside the cap. Spread your hands (and fingers) apart to create space, then slip the cap on.

On the front, it should come to about a finger above your eyebrows.

WHY WEAR A BATHING CAP?

The stakes are twofold.

Firstly, wearing a cap is a sign of respect for the place you're visiting. By keeping your hair in place, it helps to protect the quality of the water and equipment, ensuring a certain level of hygiene in the pool or pool area.

Secondly, you're also wearing it for yourself! The cap protects your hair from water damage, chlorine (or other treatments) and salt (or other pollutants).
