TECHNICAL INFORMATION

A word from the product manager

We've redesigned this Decathlon children's snowboard boot to make it as child-friendly as possible.
It's a linerless boot, so you only have to tighten it once, which is more convenient for both child and parent. For greater comfort, we've also lightened the shoe.

Fast Lock clamping system - 2 zones

The idea for the easy tightening of Indy 100 snowboard boots came from an instructor's comment: "We've got to stop using traditional laces with knots to tie, because I often start my lessons by tightening the kids' laces". We then improved it by adding a scratch on the shin for perfect tightening.
1. Fast, powerful tightening concentrated on the instep, to support the foot
2. Scratch on the shin to eliminate play between shin and tongue.

Shoe flexibility and rigidity

The soft flex (2/10) is a deliberate choice on our part. It brings comfort in use, reduces physical fatigue and lets you get the most out of your day. It has the advantage of helping beginners get into the right position on their boards: ankles flexed to avoid stiff legs. Snowboarding requires reactivity, and bending the legs is essential. Starting with a boot that's too stiff is a handicap.

Comfort Heel Pad" malleolar foam

Malleolar foams fill the anatomical hollow below and behind the malleolus to cradle the heel. The level 1 liner has malleolar foams 10 mm thick, single-material, rather soft. The aim is to provide heel-foot support in line with the shoe level. Indeed, the faster a young rider goes, the more energy is involved, and the more support the foot needs. Comfort Foam meets this objective by providing maximum comfort.

Sole: grip, cushioning and thermal insulation

Our Ultralight sole is made exclusively of EVA.
EVA is a very light material with 80% air. This formulation is designed to resist abrasion while retaining its cushioning properties. It is naturally highly insulating and protects against the cold coming up from the ground.
We have designed large studs to give you excellent grip. The studs are spaced out to facilitate snow evacuation.
