Morphological adaptability
We've created a specific sizing chart to be as exhaustive as possible! However, we're sorry to say that our sizing chart won't fit 100% of body types. Nevertheless, we hope you'll be able to find the right shoe for you! (or a boot that fits!)
Take your measurements?
Measurements are taken without shoes and barefoot. You'll need to sit with your knees at right angles, then you can proceed with the measurements. Step 1, measure your calf circumference three times to find the widest point. Step 2, measure the length from the floor to the crease at the back of your knee. Finally, match your measurements with those on the grid to find the perfect fit!
Which size to choose?
Once you've taken your calf circumference and height, it's easy! All you have to do is match your measurements to the size grid! For example, if I'm a size 39 and my measurements are 37 - 44, I'd take a size 39 M long.
Specificity of our cutting edge
This model has a very snug fit, so it may be normal to have a little trouble closing your boot during the first few sessions. We advise you to opt for a fairly tight fit, as this will give you a good grip on your boot during practice. For the height of the shaft, please refer to the measurement chart. It's important to know that the shaft of the boot will have to drop a few millimeters to find its place.
Any doubts about your calf size?
Are you on the borderline between 2 sizes? Don't know whether to go for the bottom or the top size? If you have a calf circumference of 36 cm, you're somewhere between size S and M. As explained above, it's better to take the S calf, as the leather will relax a little. However, if you're looking for comfort and don't like to be too tight and compressed, size M will be perfect for you.
Any doubts about your calf height?
Are you on the borderline between 2 heights? Are you hesitating between LONG and SHORT? If your calf height is 42 cm, you're somewhere between a short and a long size. As explained above, it's preferable to take the Long size, since after several sessions your boot will drop a few millimeters. However, if you don't like the feeling of leather in the hollow of your knee, the short size will be perfect for you.
Boot care
Maintaining your leather boots is very important to prolong their life. First of all, you can remove sand and dirt with a soft brush and damp sponge, then let them air-dry. After cleaning, let's move on to leather care. We recommend you apply a thin coat of shoe polish in the color of your boot, then let them dry before shining them up with a clean cloth. And there you have it!
Care instructions on the zip
No zip, no boot! This is the most fragile part of the boot, and it's important to take good care of it. To avoid premature breakage, we recommend brushing the zip with a brush to remove sand and dust after each use. You can also put a little grease on the zip to lubricate and preserve it. Should the zipper break, it can easily be replaced at a cobbler's or shoemaker's, thanks to its design.
