ENSURING SAFETY DURING OPEN WATER SWIMMING
When swimming in open water, we strongly recommend the use of an inflatable safety buoy, so that you can be easily spotted by boats, rescuers and other swimmers. The buoy also serves as a resting point when the swimmer is tired or cramped. What's more, a whistle is attached to the buoy to allow you to signal your presence audibly, if necessary.
DIMENSIONS OF THE OPEN WATER BUOY
Deflated: 37 cm x 63 cm.
Inflated: 25 cm x 55 cm.
Strap can be adjusted from 75 cm to 125 cm.
Strap can be adjusted from 50 cm to 90 cm.
HOW TO POSITION THE OPEN WATER BUOY
For optimum use, the strap of the open water buoy should be adjusted so that it sits just above the back of the thigh, so as not to interfere with leg movement.
HOW TO INFLATE AN OPEN WATER BUOY
We recommend inflating both chambers to 50% each for greater safety.
PRACTICE TIPS
During your open-water swims, you can keep your supplies cool thanks to the net on the underside of the buoy, on the water side.
