3 STEPS TO FOLLOW A DIRECTION FROM "A" TO "B" OR TAKE AN AZIMUTH WITH A COMPASS
1 - Lay the compass flat on the map. Align the edge of the compass from point A to point B
2 - Turn the capsule until the lines on the bottom of the capsule match the north lines on the map
3 - Compass in hand, flat on the map and with the direction arrow pointing in the direction of travel: Turn on yourself until the magnetic north needle on the compass fits into the north house!
Now you can move forward by following the direction arrow!
1:25,000 and 1:50,000 graduated scales
Your compass is equipped with 3 graduations:
- A 4 cm ruler
- A 1:25,000 scale
- A 1:50,000 scale
They enable you to make measurements on your map and work on your scale reading.
A wider, more precise and intuitive needle
When designing this compass, we opted for a wide needle to enable more precise and intuitive visual alignment of the needle with the map's north lines.
Cord for carrying around the neck
For added security and peace of mind, the choker cord is equipped with a tear-open system.
Magnetic declination correction
Inside the capsule, you'll find a declination scale.
Magnetic declination is the difference in angle between magnetic north and geographic north on your map.
Find out on the Internet what the declination is in your country.
Universal balancing
The needle on this compass is universal. It can be used anywhere on the globe!
