TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Éveil Aquatique encourages psychomotor development in young children:

NABAIJI TISWIM offers 3 Aquatic Awakening experiences: Discovering water, Discovering swimming and Discovering immersion. Adapted products are available for each experience.

The TISWIM evolving armband-belt is part of the "Discovering water" experience.

Its modularity allows you to accompany your child in his or her aquatic discovery, with a buoyancy level that decreases as the child progresses, helping him or her to discover different positions in the water.

Why an upgradeable pool armband?

Because it's often difficult to find the right buoyancy aid for your child, to anticipate his or her level of comfort in the water and degree of confidence, NABAIJI has designed the TISWIM armbands-belt. Thanks to its modularity, this evolving armband allows children to discover the joys of playing in the water, moving horizontally and vertically and learning the first swimming movements, in complete safety.

What are the 3 ways to use TISWIM?

Step 1/ Initially, the TISWIM is used with all its components (arm cuffs and front belt).

Step 2/ Use the arm cuffs alone to start moving in the water in an upright position.

Step 3/ Use the back belt alone to discover the swimmer's position (horizontal) and the first swimming movements.

Recommendations for use

Wearing a top underneath the product is recommended to avoid the risk of rubbing against the skin if the full product is not perfectly adjusted to the child's size.

Security locking system

The belly-chamber adjustment strap is equipped with a 3-point buckle to prevent the child from removing it himself.
The buckle must require at least two simultaneous or sequential actions to prevent accidental opening.

How does the valve on these swimming pool armbands work?

TISWIM evolutionary belt cuffs are equipped with PVC valves with a non-return valve.

To inflate the product correctly, you need to press the base of the valve to open the valve.
This valve closes mechanically in about 2 seconds, so it's normal to have a little air escaping after inflation. This is why you need to close the cap quickly.

How do I adjust the lap belt?

Place the ventral section over the upper part of the child's belly, so that the belt wraps around the lower part of the child's chest. Tighten normally, then inflate the ventral part directly on the child, without over-inflating it. The belt will then be perfectly adapted to your child's size.

How can I avoid the risk of redness/irritation caused by rubbing buoyancy aids?

Young children's skin is very fragile. Depending on your child's level of activity and the duration of his or her aquatic sessions, the buoyancy aids worn may generate friction on the skin. To prevent this discomfort, we recommend wearing a top under the TISWIM evolving armband.

Where do I position the belt in the lap position?

The belt should be positioned on the upper abdomen. Be careful not to position the belt on your child's torso, as this would raise it too high and prevent it from holding properly. Prefer a lower position, so that the floating part is pressed against the lower part of his torso.

How to inflate the different parts of the TISWIM?

The different stages of development require slightly different inflations.

Pool armbands should always be inflated to the maximum. However, it is preferable to inflate the second chamber directly on your child's arm.

Inflation of the lap belt should be adapted to your child's size. The back belt should be inflated normally, without overpressure, before fitting.

How do I adapt the inflation of the ventral section to my child?

As every child is different, you can adapt the inflation of the TISWIM's ventral section to your child's morphology.

First adjust the belt directly on your child without inflating the ventral section, so that it is perfectly adapted to your child's size. Then inflate the ventral part directly on your child.

Why does the ventral part come up to my child's chin when I use the full product?

In most cases, this means that the chest section is over-inflated or the belt is incorrectly positioned.

Make sure that the belt is correctly positioned on the child's upper abdomen, and that the chest section is properly inflated and tightened, to ensure that the product does not rise too high once your child is in the water.

If the product rises too high, it may cause rubbing under the chin, which can irritate the skin.

Why does my child end up on his back?

If your child tilts backwards, it's because the volume of the ventral part is not adapted to his size.

It's important to remember that to benefit from the evolving armband, your child's motor skills and tone must be sufficiently developed to enable him to maintain his balance and keep his head upright on the ground.

However, if your child still tilts backwards, don't hesitate to adapt the inflation of the ventral part to his size so that he can regain his balance.

Can my child tip forward?

No, if the pool armbands are installed, your child won't be able to tip forward.

It's important to remember that to benefit from the evolving pool armband, your child's motor skills and tone must be sufficiently developed so that he can maintain his balance and keep his head upright on land.

However, if your child is very toned and of small stature, adapt the inflation of the ventral part so that he is a little more immersed at chest level.

How do I adjust the belt in the dorsal position?

In the third stage, your child can discover the horizontal position in the water with the belt on his back. To do this, inflate the back section, without over-inflating it, then position the belt around your child's waist, tightening it normally. Be sure to position the protective tabs under the straps for greater comfort.

Can my child jump into the water with the TISWIM?

Yes, but be careful! If properly fitted, your child will be able to jump into the water without rubbing under the chin or arms. But be careful with the height, as the pool armband is a buoyancy aid, so don't try to jump higher than your child. If the product is worn in its entirety and your child jumps into the water without any problems, try removing the ventral part to give him more freedom of movement.

Can I fit my child with the TISWIM cuff if he weighs less than 15 kg?

No, for safety reasons, the TISWIM evolving armbands are designed for children from 15 to 30 kg. Below this weight, the cuffs will be too large to allow the child to move around safely. The child would no longer be able to control his or her movements, and could easily topple backwards or forwards, making it difficult to stand up. Be sure to respect the weight indicated. The child's size is also a factor in product selection.

What if the product deflates when I inflate?

The valve may be malfunctioning. The valve doesn't close normally, and too much air escapes before the cap closes. To put it back on correctly, pinch the valve 2 or 3 times with your fingers, then inflate the product to the maximum and close the cap. The valve should snap back into place.

Product care

After use, rinse your product and keep it out of direct sunlight.
We strongly advise against washing the TISWIM in the washing machine, as this could damage the seams and compromise safety. Instead, hand-wash the TISWIM, then towel dry.
