Why does a light support bra make sports easier?
Being able to move is the basis of sport. That's why we've added all the details you need to enjoy sport in complete freedom to this bra.
The straps are crossed at the back to free up the shoulder area for arm movement. This clearance also allows the back to breathe during exercise, allowing perspiration to escape more easily. Large openings under the arms offer permanent comfort and greater ease of movement.

During sporting activities, your breasts, which are fragile and supported almost entirely by the skin, are subjected to much greater stress than in everyday life. No matter what your cup size or age, they are subjected to movement and bounce, and can weigh up to 5 times their own weight, depending on the intensity of the activity. A sports bra gives them the support, comfort and protection they need. It protects them from impact, pain and premature sagging.
Strong, medium or light support, how to choose?
During sporting activities, the skin and ligaments of the chest are stretched. Without sufficient support, you risk pain or premature sagging. However, too much support can also be harmful in the long term. That's why it's important to adapt the level of support of your bra to your cup size and the intensity of the impact you experience. The aim is to protect your breasts without altering their natural movement.
What are the support levels of Decathlon sports bras?
Models are validated in our laboratories using a breast support test that measures the reduction in the acceleration of breast movement during sport. They are rated from 1 to 5: 1 for light support, 3 for medium support and 5 for strong support.
Which level of bra support for which sport?
Bra support must be adapted to the sport in question. Our range comprises 3 levels:
- Level 1: light support for activities that produce gentle chest movements (Yoga, Pilates, stretching, golf...);
- Level 3: medium support for activities that produce moderate bounce (cycling, dance, fitness, cardio-training...);

How are Decathlon bras designed?

How do I care for a light support bra?
Designed for sports use, this bra can be washed and rewashed. We simply recommend that you wash it at no more than 30° in our washing net, sold separately (ref. 8505236).
Use liquid detergent rather than washing powder, and avoid fabric softeners. These can impair the breathability of fabrics.
Do not tumble dry.
