In response to numerous complaints from our users concerning the stability of our SG500 goals, we have fitted the new models with anti-slip pads for added stability. The pads also ensure that the goal is not in direct contact with the ground, which will limit corrosion over time.

Design
To develop and enrich our range of soccer goals with ever more innovative models, I work in close collaboration with an engineer and a product designer.
For the Classic Goal range, following feedback from our customers, we focused on the objective of retranscribing as closely as possible the feeling of playing with a real soccer goal, while guaranteeing a resistant, safe and high-quality product.
Stability test
Based on our observations in the field, we wanted to develop tests linked to stability, as the goal can tip over during a match when the ball is fired too hard. That's why a tilt test is carried out on our entire range of goals to ensure product stability, with a requirement of 25°.
Strength test
We are fortunate to work in-house with a mechanical laboratory (located on the B'twin Village site), which enables us to validate the design of the goals and then put them into production.
For example, to assess the product's solidity, we carry out load tests in our laboratory, which reproduces the weight of a child. During this test, the goal is put to the test, a 35kg load is applied and we check that the product doesn't deform.
Resistance test
To test the resistance of our net-holding fasteners, we recently set up a fatigue test with the help of our test engineers, which reproduces the behavior of the net during play. In this way, we can check that the fastener does not break during 5000 cycles.
The net is fitted with real 90° steel skylights (for sizes S and M), while size L is made of aluminum to withstand the ball-strikes of children and adults alike.
5-year warranty
Thanks to a surface treatment (cataphoresis) providing greater protection against rust, this goal is guaranteed for 5 years against corrosion.
