SIM card and subscription
A multi-operator data SIM card is supplied with the device.
For optimum coverage, compatible with Orange, SFR, Bouygues Télécom and Free Mobile. 4 photo transmission packages are available (see photo).
As soon as the standard-size SIM card is inserted, the device automatically detects the operator and sets the corresponding sending parameters (works on 3G and 4G).
The camera can be set up and triggered remotely using the NumCam mobile app.
Image capture
Image resolution: from 8MP to 24MP: can be sent by e-mail
Video resolution: HD 1280 x 720 p | Full HD 1920 x 1080 p : not possible to send
Videos with sound, length adjustable from 5 seconds to 59 seconds.
Burst 1 - 10 photos
Trigger speed 0.5 sec
Photo + Video with audio: a photo and then a video are taken each time the shutter is released.
Installation
Make sure that the capture area in front of the lens is clear (no branches, bushes) to avoid unintentional captures other than of animals.
North or south-facing positions are preferable to avoid the sun's raking rays at sunrise and sunset, which disrupt photo or video capture.
Set up the camera at a height of around 1.5 m/2 m, facing slightly downwards.
Getting started
Once you've made the necessary settings, you can switch the camera ON. A red light on the front of the met camera will flash for 5 seconds to let you know it's on, and give you time to close the box and leave the area.
In the settings menu, the camera will automatically met go into standby mode after 3 minutes without pressing 1 button.
Detection
The range of the sensor is 20 m
The range of the invisible black LED flash (940 nm) is 20 m
The camera is invisible when triggered at night, no light visible
The flash is adjustable to avoid overexposure at night or if you want to place the camera close to the subject (auto, medium, low, off).
PIR interval between 2 photos/videos can be set from 5 sec to 59 min 59 sec (default 20 sec)
Sensor sensitivity can be set between high, medium and low.
Shooting angle: 100°.
PIR interval setting
PIR interval between 2 images adjustable from 5 seconds to 23 hours 59 minutes 59 seconds
If the PIR interval is set to 01:00, the camera will wait 1 minute between each photo/video recording, even if motion is detected.
- Short PIR interval = many photos/videos taken = high power consumption
- Long PIR interval = fewer photos/videos taken = lower power consumption.
Sensitivity adjustment
Adjustable sensitivity: High | Medium | Low
In high-temperature environments, the body heat of subjects is difficult for the camera to differentiate from ambient heat, so we recommend using high sensitivity.
We recommend using low sensitivity in environments with a lot of interference, such as hot wind, smoke, proximity to a window, etc.
Night mode and flash settings
Maximum range: offers a longer exposure to extend the range of the infrared flash for a better vision night-time image (poorer image quality)
Minimal blur: offers a shorter exposure to minimize motion blur for better image quality, but reduces flash range
Time lapse and time range
It is possible to set the camera to time lapse: 1 photo every X seconds, minutes, hours, according to your preference: from 5 sec to 23h 59 min 59 sec.
Please note that this disables the motion detector.
It is possible to set 2 time slots according to your preference. The camera will then only take photos/videos in the time zone(s) set. Example: from 3pm to 6pm and from 7am to 9am. Compatible with time lapse and motion detector.
