Which silks to use?
Depending on the river, we recommend using a DT3 or a WF4 line. A DT3 will favour discretion and short-range fishing, while a WF4 will be more at home with weighted nymphs or bulky flies.
For line nymphing, as the name suggests, you can only use line between 18 and 20/100. Note that although this rod is suitable for line nymphing, it is not specifically designed for this technique.
Combat heel
On this 10' 3/4 line rod, the fighting butt has two objectives:
- to balance the rod
- its short but rather flared shape provides an extra point of support on the arm when fishing with a high rod in nymph or fast water.
Which fixtures to use?
Perfect for dry fly fishing, it is also ideal for fishing with a dry fly/nymph tandem. You can also practice line nymphing with perdigone nymphs or jigging nymphs.
Reel stand
Downward screwing for better balancing
Color
The darker tone of the 10' 3/4 silk rod gives it a more sober and discreet appearance for fishing fast-flowing waters.
