Characteristics of a carbon tip.

The carbon tip is stiffer but no less sensitive to bite detection than fibreglass tips, even with the same tip power.
Its rigidity reduces tip oscillation caused by wind, while still allowing bite detection.
It is therefore suitable for most fishing conditions.

How can you tell the difference between a carbon tip and a fibreglass tip?

Carbon tips are entirely black at the base of the shank, while fiberglass tips are translucent.
