A SIZEABLE CANE
Size in 10 ft (3 m). Carp rods in lengths of 9 and 10 FEET are used for carp fishing from boats, roaming fishing (prowling) or to limit the overall dimensions of very short sessions.
The overall dimensions of the unmounted rod are 1.55 m
WEIGHT 300 gr
REEL HOLDER: the metal reel holder is fixed. The reel is secured by a clamping ring.
A FLEXIBLE ROD
Rods with a semi-parabolic action, such as the Extreme 5 300, are easier to cast thanks to their suppleness. A good compromise between flexibility (in front of the fish) and casting distance.
The semi-parabolic action allows the rod to bend more in the middle.
RING SIZING AND MOUNTING
SEAGUIDE rings 30 mm, 25 mm, 20 mm,16 mm, 12 mm and 12 mm. These rings are lightweight and braid-resistant. You can use braid without fear of damaging your rings. A criterion of choice when you use braid regularly.
The rings are fixed with three lugs. These "tri-leg" fastenings will be stronger and better able to withstand your more powerful casts.
PRESS-FIT TYPE
Inverted joints: The bottom section (the thicker section) is topped with a finer-diameter insert, the spigot, which fits inside the top section. The spigot joint harmonizes the action of the rod.
Caution: Check the rod joint before casting. A poorly fitted spigot is the main cause of rod breakage.
POWER
The power of your fishing rod is expressed in 2 different but complementary ways:
- The ability to withstand a tensile force such as fighting a fish.
- The ability of your rod to throw a weight a certain distance.
The power of 2.75 lbs allows you to throw up to 95 g beyond 100m and fight beautiful fish with ease.
