A SIZEABLE CANE
Size in 9 ft (2.70 m). Carp rods in lengths of 9 and 10 FEET are used for carp fishing from boats, roaming fishing (prowling) or to limit the overall dimensions for very short sessions.
The overall dimensions of the unmounted rod are 1.40 m. Number of sections: 2
WEIGHT: 325 g
A STATE-OF-THE-ART ROD
Called "fast action". The tip action of the extrem 9 270 rod allows it to bend at the end of its last third all the way to the tip.
The rod action is reduced, as these rods have a rigid body.
As a result, the rod action is weak, i.e. it bends very little under the tension of the fish. The advantage is that rigidity allows long-distance casting.
RING SIZE
SEAGUIDE rings start at 40 mm, 30 mm, 20 mm,16 mm,12 mm and 12 mm . SEAGUIDE rings are lightweight and resistant to braid. You can use braid in your reels without fear of damaging your rings. A criterion of choice when you use braid regularly.
RING FIXING: The rings are fixed with three lugs. These "tri-leg" attachments will be stronger and better able to withstand your more powerful casts.
ALL POWER
The power of your fishing rod is expressed in 2 different but complementary ways:
- The ability to withstand a tensile force such as fighting a fish.
- The ability of your rod to throw a weight a certain distance.
The power of 3 lbs allows you to throw up to 100g beyond 100m and easily fight big fish.
THE LITTLE EXTRAS
1. INNOVATION: Better visibility at night. The tip of the MOON CONCEPT tip lights up on contact with UV rays (recommended with headlamp MOON CONCEPT)
2. REEL HOLDER: The adjustable metal reel holster allows you to balance your reel and cast in the best possible conditions.
PRESS-FIT TYPE
Inverted joints: The bottom (larger) section is capped with a thinner diameter insert, the spigot, which fits inside the top section. The spigot joint harmonizes the action of the rod.
WARNING! Check the rod joint before casting. A poorly fitted spigot is the main cause of rod breakage.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT ROD FOR YOUR SIZE
In general, the length of a carp rod is said to allow you to cast farther.
It's your body shape (with your center of gravity) that really influences the distance of your casts.
For example, if you're less than 1.70 m tall, you'll be less comfortable with a 13 FEET rod than a 12 FEET rod. It will shift your center of gravity to the top of your body.
This means you'll need to exert more effort to use it, and you'll need to be able to do more with it.
BLANK FOR YOUR ROD
The term blank refers to the main part of a fishing rod, made of carbon or fibreglass for example. For some of our rods, we use the term HM (High Modulus) carbon. In simple terms, modulus, expressed in tons, is the ratio of stiffness to weight. The higher the modulus, the lighter and more resistant the blank is to stress such as the force exerted by a fish in a fight.
MAINTENANCE
Daily maintenance is simple: simply wash your rods in lukewarm water and soap, before rinsing and drying them thoroughly, especially around the joints.
This is a very important step, as it removes the sand grains that can damage your rods.
