CHOOSING THE RIGHT ROD FOR YOUR SIZE
In general, the length of a carp rod is said to allow you to cast farther.
It's mainly your body shape (with your center of gravity) that really influences the distance of your casts.
For example, if you're less than 1.70 m tall, you'll be less comfortable with a 13 FEET rod than a 12 FEET rod. It will shift your center of gravity towards your upper body.
So you'll need to exert more effort to use it.
Perfect balance for long shots (Part 1)
To be able to throw far, there are two aspects: equipment and technique. As far as equipment is concerned, the winning combination is:
1. A power rod of between 3.25 and 3.75 lbs
2. Reel: choosing a reel with a long-distance spool is essential to favour line exit and gain extra metres.

3. The choice of wire or braid is up to you and your preferences. In any case, you'll need to use a small-diameter wire or braid such as 28-centimeter to gain distance on casts.
4. When authorized, you can use a few meters of 30-centimeter braid leader. As there is no elasticity in the braid, all the speed during the movement is reflected in the rod.
WARNING!
Check the spigot before casting. A poorly fitted spigot is the main cause of rod breakage.
Casting with a dry leader increases the risk of line breakage. To avoid this, you can moisten your line body before casting.
