CPR
The RCR for RACER range is dedicated to cyclists looking for the best equipment. This range will suit cyclists seeking excellence on all terrains. Versatile, top-quality products for both flatland and mountain biking.
The RCR range is the choice of the professional Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale team.
SECURITY
Because the choice of a helmet is made first and foremost for safety reasons, this helmet meets all the most demanding standards in terms of impact.
It confirms to European regulation EN1078.
This standard covers the following aspects: construction, including the field of vision, shock absorption properties, retention system characteristics, including chinstrap and tightening devices, marking and information.
SIZES AND WEIGHTS
Helmet sizing is based on head circumference.
RCR:
size S: 52-55 cm - 240g
size M: 55-59 cm - 280g
size L: 59-62 cm - 300g
Please note that this helmet features MIPS technology. This system slightly modifies the size grid, so if you're at the top of the size range, we advise you to take the next size up.
VENTILATION
Optimum helmet ventilation is achieved when large air inlets are connected to air outlets via channels that allow air to circulate. The head is an essential element in cooling the body during intense effort.
Evacuation of the heat generated is therefore a priority for maintaining high levels of performance.
VENTILATION AND AERODYNAMICS
Incorrectly positioned ventilation, on the other hand, can lead to major losses in aerodynamic performance, by significantly increasing drag.
The RCR has a ventilation system that varies according to your position on the bike. The straighter you are, for example when climbing a mountain pass, the more efficient the system. As soon as you go downhill, it's the helmet's aerodynamics that make the difference.
RETURN CONDITIONS (SPECIFIC TO EPI)
Helmets are PPE (personal protective equipment), so protection will depend on the condition of your helmet.
We can only take back helmets in new condition. If the helmet is not suitable for you, please return it to us with the instructions and labels.
HELMET LIFETIME
The life of a helmet is not eternal. To ensure maximum safety, we advise you to change your helmet every 5 to 7 years maximum. Store your helmet in a cool, dry place, away from light and in its cover.
Extreme temperatures accelerate the deterioration of helmet foam.
In the event of a major impact, it is imperative to replace your helmet, as it may no longer be effective due to cracks in the structure.
