WHAT REQUIREMENTS DOES THIS HELMET MEET?
Complies with bicycle helmet standard EN1078 (2012) + A1. European standard setting out the requirements and test methods for helmets used for head protection during urban cycling, as well as rollerblading, scootering and skateboarding. The requirements and corresponding test methods cover the following aspects: construction, including the field of vision ; shock absorption properties; retention system characteristics.
WHY CHOOSE A HELMET WITH INTEGRATED LIGHTING?
This 900 city bike helmet Btwin offers enhanced safety thanks to powerful LED lighting and light guides integrated into the back of the helmet, guaranteeing 180-degree visibility.
As the highest point on a cyclist is the most visible, it's important to have light on the helmet, especially on poorly lit roads.
Recharge via USB cable (cable included with helmet)
You can replace your light unit in the after-sales service.
LIGHTING: AUTONOMY AND RECHARGE TIME
Lighting recharge time is 3h30, for a complete recharge cycle (i.e. from 0 to 100%)
Lighting autonomy is 5h in fixed mode and 10h in flashing mode.
WHY CHOOSE A HELMET WITH RETRACTABLE VISOR?
This B'TWIN 900 urban helmet features a transparent category 0 visor. The visor protects urban cyclists from wind, cold, rain, projectiles and insects.
The visor is retractable and goes upwards. The visor is protected when retracted, as it fits into the helmet and is therefore scratch-resistant.
This curved visor will not fit all eyeglass shapes. The visor can be replaced by our after-sales service.
HOW DO I ADJUST MY HEADPHONES?
For maximum protection, this helmet must be in close contact with the head, and the retention system must always be correctly adjusted, but not too tight at the forehead. When the straps are properly adjusted, the helmet should not tip forward, backward or sideways. To this end, the rider can choose from several sizes. It's advisable to try on different sizes to determine which is best suited to the user.
HOW DO I CHOOSE MY HELMET SIZE?
If you're between 2 sizes, choose the next size up.
It's crucial to choose a helmet that fits properly. For children, never buy a helmet that's too big on the assumption that they'll grow.
M : 55 cm - 59 cm
L : 59 cm - 62 cm
WHY DOES MY HELMET HAVE TO BE CHANGED EVERY 5 YEARS?
We recommend that you replace your helmet every 5 years, because beyond that, depending on conditions of use and maintenance, the shock-absorbing material may age and lose some of its absorption properties compared to new.
To find out how old your helmet is, simply look at the production date indicated on the inside of the helmet (often under the comfort foams).
The way you handle your helmet can also influence its lifespan.
