PROTECTING CHILDREN
Because a child's defense system is met in place after the age of 3, babies' skin is very sensitive to the sun. With identical exposure, the effects of the sun are 2 to 3 times greater for a child than for an adult. So it's important to protect them effectively.
WHAT DOES UPF 50 + MEAN?
UPF is a globally standardized sun protection factor (Ultra Violet Protection Factor).
It defines the textile's level of protection, and more precisely the proportion of UV transmission.
To meet standards, it must block at least 95% of UV rays. UPF 50+ means that the textile blocks at least 95% of UVA and 98% of UVB rays.
HOW TO BEHAVE IN THE SUN?
Although this hat provides protection from the sun, phenomena such as reverberation (on water, sand, etc.), heat, time of day, etc. must be taken into account. Wearing a hat doesn't mean you don't need to take appropriate precautions, such as wearing sunglasses, applying a suitable sun cream regularly, wearing an anti-UV top or anti-UV shorty, and keeping regularly hydrated.
