TECHNICAL INFORMATION

My cap is not rainproof?

Rest assured, the fabric used for this cap does indeed block UV rays, with a UPF rating of over 50 (i.e. excellent protection). This is not, of course, the case with the side panels, which are perforated, so we can't claim that the cap is UV-blocking in its entirety.

Why is polyamide said to be more resistant?

Polyamide has excellent abrasion and tear resistance. This synthetic fiber is also resistant to micro-organisms and mildew.

How do you measure drying speed?

The product is machine-washed 3 times, line-dried, then immersed in water and the time taken for the product to return to its pre-wash weight is measured.
This cap achieves a very good rating of 5 out of 5 stars by returning to its pre-wash weight in less than 80 minutes!

The entire design team had the opportunity to test this cap during their frequent outings in the Mont Blanc massif, where the offices of Forclaz, Decathlon's Trekking brand, are located.

A panel of external trekkers, to guarantee impartiality. We took our testers for several weeks to the Pyrenees and the Alps, and asked them to give an honest assessment of our products.
