TECHNICAL INFORMATION

My cap is not anti-UV?

Rest assured, the fabric used for this cap blocks UV rays well with a UPF index above 50 (so excellent protection). This is obviously not the case for the side panels, which are perforated, so we can't claim the anti-UV cap in its entirety.

Why is polyamide said to be stronger?

Polyamide has excellent abrasion and tear resistance. In addition, this synthetic fiber is not afraid of microorganisms or mold.

How do you measure drying speed?

The product is machine-washed 3 times, line-dried, then immersed in water and the time taken for the product to return to its pre-wash weight is measured.
This cap achieves a very good rating of 5 out of 5 stars by returning to its pre-wash weight in less than 80 minutes!

The entire design team had the opportunity to test this cap during their frequent outings in the Mont Blanc massif, where the offices of Forclaz, Decathlon's Trekking brand, are located.

A panel of external trekkers, to guarantee any impartiality. We took our testers to the Pyrenees and the Alps for several weeks and asked them to evaluate our products in all honesty.
