Why use a weight belt?
This belt provides additional support by increasing abdominal pressure when lifting heavy loads (above 80% of your maximum repetition). This pressure acts as protection, keeping the spine aligned.
By using this belt, your abdominal and lumbar muscles remain under tension throughout the exercise, reducing the risk of frequent lower back injuries.
What exercises can this belt be used for?
This bodybuilding belt can be used for dynamic movements. In particular, during cross-training sessions where you need to do a lot of repetitions, such as:
- squats: front squat, overhead squat...
- deadlifts: classic and sumo
- rowing
- military press
- clean and jerk
- snatch
How do I install the weight belt?
To put on the bodybuilding belt:
- fasten it above your hips by tightening it slightly using the first Velcro system.
- tighten it further using the second Velcro system.
For a better fit, pull in your stomach slightly to move to the next notch, which will increase abdominal pressure.
If you have difficulty breathing when you inflate your chest, the belt is too tight. In this case, loosen it one notch.
An exclusive locking system
After each set of exercises, remember to loosen the second fastening system on your belt. Doing so can increase your blood pressure.
However, you can keep it around your waist when you're resting, thanks to the first fastening system.
Have you thought about all these accessories for your practice?
To relieve your grip when deadlifting, use straps (ref. 8642608). And add knee pads (ref. 8548500) to reduce the risk of injury by providing warmth to your knee joints.
