"When it rains on the golf course, most of the time we're sheltered by an umbrella. But when it's time to hit, you met put the umbrella aside. So we wanted to offer a real headgear in case of rain. Especially as, in the golfer's natural posture, we all get water on the back of our necks!"
Our design team tells you all about the development of a golf hat:
"We had started with no constraints on the shape of the headgear and naturally moved towards the bob, even if the first versions looked more like a sombrero! The fabric is completely waterproof, and we did a lot of work to create a pleasant inner material. The edges are wide enough, but not too wide, to avoid contact with the jacket. And the back of the bob allows water to run off the outside of the jacket collar." Léa, designer and Audrey, milliner.
Details that make all the difference
"The hat is the kind of detail that makes the whole outfit. So what about the details of your golf hat?
- The tightening elastic keeps your hat in place during all your golfing gestures.
- Your hat is both waterproof to protect you from drops and lightweight, so you don't get unnecessarily hot.
- As well as being soft, the inner fabric of your hat stays in place, so you forget about it at the same time as it makes you forget about the rain."
A tested hat to brave the weather.
"To test and improve the rain hat, our design team relied on feedback from our male and female golfers:
"We carried out in-use tests over a weekend in December when it was extremely cold and rainy, with a dozen or so experts. And during the photo sessions, the conditions were even worse. This enabled us to validate the rain bob in the most extreme conditions" Sophie and Ludivine."
How do you look after your Rain Weather gear?
"To make the most of the water-repellent and waterproof qualities of your Rain Weather garment, we recommend that you hand-wash it and avoid machine-washing as much as possible. Rinse thoroughly and leave to air-dry.
Finally, to reactivate the fabric's water-repellency, you can tumble-dry your already-dried outfit on a short, synthetic program."
