When should I use these high socks?
These socks are recommended for static hunting, moderate intensity use, and very regular use. If you hunt in battues, migratory birds or stalking in winter, these socks will help keep your feet warm. As everyone's perception and resistance to the cold is different, we recommend these socks when the mercury drops below 0°C, but this can vary from one individual to another.
What materials are used in these socks?
This sock is knitted with Merinos wool in a coarse loop over the entire foot. The shin and calf areas are reinforced with Polyamide yarn for added strength, as are the front and rear areas of the foot. Finally, the entire sock is elasticated for excellent support when walking and in all types of boots.
The advantages of Merinos wool
Merino wool regulates body temperature and wicks away moisture. These qualities make it ultra-comfortable and soft. What's more, this material naturally limits the proliferation of odor-causing bacteria. In concrete terms, after heavy exertion and perspiration, merino wool absorbs a large part of this body moisture, preventing evaporation and maintaining body temperature. The unpleasant cooling effect is thus limited.
Why should you choose a sock size that matches your foot size?
It's important to choose a sock size that's right for your foot, to avoid any extra folds: if the sock is too big, there'll be too much material around your foot and you won't feel comfortable at all, and if the sock is too small, it'll be "dragged" towards the inside of the shoe, which can lead to rubbing, pain and even blisters at the end of your outing.
How do you wash your Merinos wool socks?
We recommend that you machine-wash these Merino wool socks at 30°, normal cycle, preferably with a liquid detergent. Dry flat, NEVER tumble dry, unless you want to lose a size or two!
