When should I use these high socks?
These socks are recommended for high-intensity, intensive use. If you're out in aggressive vegetation for several hours several times a week, such as woodcock hunting, or stalking, having to fight your way through brambles, jumping, chasing dogs, or just hunting without physical compromise, then these socks will follow you everywhere for your utmost comfort.
What materials are used in these socks?
These socks are made with 70% Thermocool yarn to limit foot heat and wick away perspiration, and 30% Merinos wool on the body of the sock to prevent odors. The upper features a cushioned area to wick perspiration away from the foot for a dry-foot feel. The underside is knitted with a blister-limiting yarn. Finally, polyamide reinforcements are present all around the sock.
The advantages of Merinos wool
Merino wool regulates body temperature and wicks away moisture. These qualities make it ultra-comfortable and soft. What's more, this material naturally limits the proliferation of odor-causing bacteria. In concrete terms, after heavy exertion and perspiration, merino wool absorbs a large part of this body moisture, preventing evaporation and thus maintaining body temperature. The unpleasant cooling effect is thus limited.
Why should you choose a sock size that matches your foot size?
It's important to choose a sock size that's right for your foot, to avoid any extra folds: if the sock is too big, there'll be too much material around your foot and you won't feel comfortable at all, and if the sock is too small, it'll be "pulled" towards the inside of the shoe, which can cause rubbing, pain and even blisters at the end of your outing.
How do you wash your Merinos wool socks?
We recommend that you machine-wash these Merino wool socks at 30°, normal cycle, preferably with a liquid detergent. Dry flat, NEVER tumble dry, unless you want to lose a size or two!
