LINER SHAPE
Shape with camber, asymmetry and heel tension (moderate level). This shape brings much more precision and power to your movements and optimizes support on small holds.
Caution: this shape, adapted to technical climbing, can slightly deteriorate foot comfort (especially on Greek-type foot shapes). That's why we've chosen a moderate level to combine performance and comfort.
WHAT DOES "ADAPTED TO THE FEMALE FOOT" MEAN?
Thanks to our biomechanists, who have analyzed scans of hundreds of female climbers' feet, we have taken into account the morphological specificities of the female foot in order to improve comfort and precision.
This liner therefore has a smaller metatarsal perimeter and heel volume than the Vertika Soft Homme to better fit the female foot.
It should be noted that it is perfectly suited to men with thin feet.
INSOLE
XS GRIP Vibram® 4 mm
XS Grip is a soft, very grippy rubber that provides a good feeling of grip, especially on flat or rounded holds.
On the heel, we've used a soft rubber to adapt to holds and grip when you put your heel down.
LINER SHAFT
We chose to develop the upper of the liner with lined synthetic leather (thickness= 2.5 mm) to prevent the liner from loosening over time. We also worked on the tongue component to ensure breathability and foot comfort.
SOLE WEAR
Did you know? The more grip a rubber has, the more it wears out, especially in climbing gyms.
That's why we've chosen to work with Vibram, a recognized market specialist since 1937, and have carefully selected the rubber that offers the best balance between resistance and grip.
Our tests show that, on average, a rubber wears out in 6 months, on the front of the liner and/or above. This can be even slower, depending on the quality of your foot placement.
A WEAR INDICATOR TO TELL YOU WHEN TO RESEAL YOUR SHOE.
To help you know when to reseal without risking damage to the liner, our engineers have developed a wear indicator in the liner.
The wear indicator appears when 2/3 of the liner has been worn, giving you a little more time to make an appointment to have your liner resealed.
Note that once resealed, your liner will no longer have the wear indicator, since it is in the original liner.
RESHOEING SERVICE
Is your sole worn? Don't throw your liner away.
Visit our Decathlon stores to find out where to resole your liner. Once you've changed your sole, you'll be able to climb again with the liner already in the shape of your foot.
Warning: as soon as you see the synthetic leather through the rubber, you need to stop and resole. If you pierce the synthetic leather, resealing will no longer be possible.
SIZE ADVICE
If you're just starting out, we recommend taking a little tighter than your street size (e.g. 1/2-1 size down), but it's important not to suffer so that your foot can develop mobility, proprioception and strength.
If you're an expert climber, we recommend taking the time to try on the different sizes (1 to 2 sizes down) to find the best compromise between comfort and compression for greater push-off strength.
MAINTENANCE ADVICE
Our first piece of advice is not to machine-wash your slippers (under any circumstances). The mechanical and thermal stress could damage them. We recommend washing them by hand, either with a sponge soaked in clean water, or with a sponge soaked in soapy water (Marseille soap), leaving them to dry in the open air, at a stable temperature and avoiding drying (radiator or direct sunlight).
