A RESHAPING SERVICE AT DECATHLON
Insoles wear out quickly when climbing. For a regular climber, they generally last from 6 months to 1 year. It depends on many factors (type of rock or resin, climbing style, cleanliness of routes...). As soon as you see the synthetic leather through the rubber, you need to reseal. If you pierce the synthetic leather, it will be difficult to resole. Our Decathlon workshops offer a resealing service to extend the life of your shoes.
LINER SHAPE
Straight, flat-profile liner.
Provides comfort.
INSOLE
The XS Grip material is a component designed and manufactured by VIBRAM.
It provides excellent grip on all climbing surfaces.
SIZE ADVICE
If you're a beginner climber, we recommend the same size as your street shoe.
You should feel tight without being in pain.
If you're a regular climber, who's progressing, you can go tighter (1 size smaller, for example), but it's important not to suffer so that your foot can develop mobility, proprioception and strength. You'll also enjoy climbing much more.
MAINTENANCE ADVICE
Our 1st piece of advice is not to machine-wash your slippers. The mechanical and thermal stress could damage them. We recommend washing them by hand, either with a sponge soaked in clean water, or with a sponge soaked in soapy water (Marseille soap), leaving them to dry in the open air, at a stable temperature and avoiding drying (radiator or direct sunlight). We recommend regular washing to extend the life of the shoe.
