Stay warmer longer with thermal accessories! There's something for every temperature range...
When we're in the water, we lose more than half our body heat through our extremities (feet, hands, head). We therefore recommend the following accessories:
- in warm and temperate water (>17°C) => neoprene socks.
- in cold water (12 - 17°C): high booties and gloves.
- in very cold water (7 - 12°C): high booties, gloves, balaclava and balaclava top.
How to choose the right slipper?
The first criterion for choosing a surf boot is water temperature. Water temperature varies according to location and time of year. So always check that the water temperature at your spot corresponds to the recommended temperature range:
Warm waters above 20°C.
Temperate waters between 17 and 22°C.
Cold waters between 12 and 17°C.
Very cold waters between 7 and 12°C.
Consult seatemperature.org to find out the temperature at your spot.
Choosing the right size
Surf boots should be worn very snugly to ensure maximum thermal efficiency. It's normal to feel too tight during a dry fitting. Choosing well-fitting booties guarantees a better fit and prevents them from swelling with water during practice.
Materials
The 3 mm surf socks are made of neoprene for maximum comfort.
The neoprene is lined with synthetic textile for wear resistance.
Neoprene thickness: 3 mm.
The neoprene is made of elastomer foam with insulating properties.
We test and guarantee the quality of our neoprene materials.
Sealed assembly
The seams are sewn and glued to guarantee watertightness and strength. The seam is blind: the thread does not run through the entire thickness of the neoprene, preventing water from passing through. The absence of internal threads prevents chafing. Internal comfort and reinforcement patches are placed at sensitive points. Beware, however, that water can still seep through the zip.
