Stay warmer longer with thermal accessories! There's something for every temperature range...
When we're in the water, it's through our extremities (feet, hands, head) that we lose more than half our body heat.
Therefore, here are the recommended accessories:
- in water (>17°C) => neoprene socks.
- in water (12 - 17°C): high booties and gloves.
- in water (7 - 12°C): high booties, gloves, balaclava and balaclava top.
How to choose the right slipper?
The first criterion for choosing a surf boot is water temperature. Water temperature varies according to location and time of year. So always make sure that the water temperature at your spot corresponds to the recommended temperature range: Water over 20°C. Water between 17 and 22°C. Water between 12 and 17°C. Water between 7 and 12°C. Consult seatemperature.org to find out the temperature of your spot.
Choosing the right size
Surf socks should be worn very snugly to guarantee maximum efficiency. It's normal to feel too tight when trying them on dry. Choosing well-fitting socks guarantees a better fit and prevents them from swelling with water during the session.
Materials
3 mm surf socks are made of Neoprene.
Neoprene is lined with synthetic textile for wear resistance.
Neoprene thickness: 3 mm.
Neoprene is made of elastomer foam with insulating properties.
We test and guarantee the thermal quality of our Neoprene materials.
Thin sole
We've chosen a thin, lightweight polyurethane sole to enhance contact and feel with the board. Consequently, this sock is not suitable for long approach walks: in this case, prefer the Surf 3 boot mm.
Sealed assembly
The seams are sewn and glued to guarantee waterproofness and resistance.
The seam is called "blind": the thread does not go through the entire thickness of the neoprene, which prevents water from passing through.
The absence of threads on the inside helps prevent chafing.
Comfort and reinforcement patches on the inside are placed at sensitive points.

Choose the right combination!
Our wetsuit models are also classified by water temperature range.
