To design the KS LIGHT, there is no compromise on comfort and durability but lighter component choices and an optimized sole design.
Result: The shoe KIPRUN KS LIGHT is 12% lighter than the KIPRUN LONG.
Its weight: 240 g in size 39.
THE IMPORTANCE OF CUSHIONING
To run with maximum comfort and performance, we have developed 2 concepts:
- K-Ring: a ring, located at the heel, improves the rear cushioning and allows the dispersion of the shock wave to protect the body (joints, back, knees, etc.) effectively.
- Kalensole: an exclusive foam, developed with our R&D department, allows a 34% improvement in cushioning, +25% energy return and a resistance of 1000km compared to a traditional foam
DID YOU SAY STABLE?
A stable shoe makes it easier to roll the foot and limit the efforts of foot and ankle control in order to have a relaxed support.
So we increased the support surface of the foot and added a reinforcement to the back of the heel.
THE COMFORT OF THE KIPRUN KS LIGHT
To run long and regularly, foot comfort is an essential element.
We therefore sought to improve this comfort through:
- a new collar at the back of the liner ensuring excellent heel support in the shoe and ideal softness.
- a preformed sole made of honeycombed PU (polyurethane) foam.
- a reworked front area of the foot so as not to feel any discomfort.
- a one-piece, seamless fabric to limit the risk of chafing.
EXCELLENT ROADHOLDING ON WET ROADS AND WHEN CORNERING
Our sole has been designed like a car tyre to run efficiently without losing control even when it rains.
The new sole geometry combined with a new rubber ensures that the KIPRUN KS LIGHT excellent grip on wet surfaces, even at top speed.
SUITABLE FOR ALL STRIDES
Thanks to its exclusive K-ONLY concept, a denser foam located under the first metatarsal, no need to know your stride type (pronated, supinated, neutral)!
A 6-month study, carried out with the Luxembourg Institute of Health*, showed that the K-Only concept was suitable for all types of strides.
