TECHNICAL INFORMATION

What is a vulcanized sole?

A vulcanized sole, a staple of the skateboarding world, is a sole made from hot-bonded rubber. The vulcanization process welds together the fabric upper, the rubber band and the sole.
The advantages of this technique are multiple: solidity, flexibility and lightness. And a texture that gives you a good feel for the board.
100% rubber, the sole also offers good grip.

What is Canvas cotton?

A particularly thick and resistant type of cotton.

How to choose the right size of skate shoes?

Choosing a skateboarding shoe means looking for one that offers as much freedom as it holds.
The shoe should therefore be neither too wide to hold the foot well, nor too tight to avoid bending the toes. New vulcanized shoes are generally quite narrow the first few times they are worn, but adapt after a few hours (the vulcanized band deforms to fit the foot).
The ideal is to choose skate shoes that fit snugly.

What's the difference between high and low shoes?

Apart from the question of style, high and low shoes do not offer the same advantages.
While a high upper provides a more stable foot, a protected ankle is better supported.
A low shoe will offer greater amplitude of movement and more lightness.

Are Vulca shoes comfortable?

The molded cells inside the sole limit vibrations by attenuating the shockwave caused by skateboarding tricks.

How to extend the life of your skate shoes with repair glue

To prolong the life of your skate shoes, we recommend using a SHOE GOO II type shoe repair glue.
Areas subject to wear, such as the OLLIES and FLIPS zones on the upper part of the shoe, can be protected before use or easily repaired. The glue will create a protective layer against grip abrasion. This way, your skate shoes can last much longer, until the sole wears out.
