What's so special about this grippy sole?
The formulation of the rubber used on the sole is the first element that gives the shoe good grip on wet surfaces.
The structure of the sole, with channels of different sizes, allows water to drain off easily to avoid the aquaplaning effect.
These 2 factors combined give a shoe with a very grippy sole on wet surfaces.
What makes this product resistant?
The choice of materials and the construction of the shoe make the product resistant.
We have taken care to select leather that is supple for comfort and resistant to guarantee a long product life.
Leather develops a patina, becomes supple, but does not deform.
Brass eyelets limit oxidation from seawater.
The laces have been selected to be resistant over time. Nevertheless, they are easy to change.
How to care for your leather shoes
Salt can cause white spots on dark-colored leather.
After sailing, we recommend:
- On dry leather, use a crepe or nubuck brush to remove stains
- On wet nubuck, clean with fresh water, using a soft cloth or sponge
- Leave to dry away from a source of heat, removing the insole
- Clean any marks on the sole with a brush and a little lukewarm water.
