Leather care
We've opted for 1.8/2 mm full-grain leather for the entire upper to ensure excellent resistance during your practice, but above all to enable you to keep them for a long time! No more cracking leather. If you grease your shoes regularly and dry them away from the radiator or fireplace, you'll have many years of pleasure.
1/ Dust off shoes with a brush. Use soap and water if necessary.
2/ Apply leather cream Nikwax
European manufacturing
This shoe was designed in France, developed in Italy with the production team and manufactured in Romania by a partner supplier.
The majority of components are also sourced in Europe.
Strength, grip, support
It's a simple fact: you do a lot of hunting or other activities in the great outdoors, you move from the plains to the woods and sometimes into the mountains, and you regularly come across aggressive vegetation. You needed something tough, and you needed it to show! You've got it, with full-grain 1.8/2 mm leather, an integral stone guard sewn and lined at the front, an all-purpose VIBRAM sole with 5 mm studs and a 7-inch (17.8 cm) shaft height.
Waterproofing
Because it's much better to keep your feet dry throughout your outing! But it's also the #1 flaw in off-trail shoes. So the design team is working hard on this problem. Here, we've added a waterproof and breathable membrane under the leather, which blocks water (rain, dew...) but not perspiration. And we've been able to test it in the lab, with 100,000 submerged flexes, equivalent to over 40 km or 24 hours' walking, with no water ingress.
Gaiters and waterproof pants
Even if it's not raining, the grass can be waterlogged... So don't forget your gaiters or waterproof pants! Otherwise, the water will soak your pants, then your socks, and you'll have 2 wet feet... Don't forget to buy the right pair of socks, like ACT 500 Solognac for your comfort, and cut your toenails, which can damage the inside of your shoes and let water in.
Story of co-creation
This shoe was entirely co-created on the Decathlon co-creation platform: https://cocreation.decathlon.fr/, with the participation of over 150 users.
We carried out questionnaires to select the components, architecture, features and design of this shoe over several months. Finally, this shoe was tested for 1 year by some of the participants. You made this shoe, and you did a great job!
