Are they warm enough for winter?
Our shoes have passed through the hands (and feet!) of our testers, in the labs and in the field, to bring you quality! They keep your feet warm at -6°C in chill mode and -15°C in action mode. We even take into account variations in the way boys and girls feel!
Do they protect against all conditions?
These shoes feature an ultra-fine waterproof and breathable textile membrane, offering comfort in light rain during your nature walks. In favorable weather conditions and on slightly oily ground, your feet stay dry and warm.
What is thermal comfort?
The thermal comfort of your shoe lies in its ability to keep your feet warm. Designed for occasional use, its waterproof membrane repels water intrusion. Inside, the air around the foot provides better ventilation to reduce moisture build-up.
Are they 100% waterproof?
We ensure that your shoes are waterproof through laboratory tests: simulating feet half-submerged in water, wear tests and field aging.
Grip or adhesion? The differences
For grip, imagine the studs on the shoes as claws that grip the ground as you climb.
For grip, the ridges under the soles act like car tires, keeping you stable on slippery ground! With them, tame winter terrain like a boss!
What does Snow Contact technology offer?
Snow Contact insoles are made with specific components and a stud design adapted to provide good grip and hold. More effective on snow than traditional soles, but remember to add anti-slip grips if you're only going to use them on ice.
How long will it last?
Our engineers carry out analyses to ensure that our products stand the test of time! They test everything from strap strength and bonding to UV resistance, abrasion and even ageing. Nothing escapes their vigilance to guarantee your complete satisfaction.
What to wear for a snow hike
To brave winter in style, here are our tips:
- Wool socks for maximum warmth,
- Breathable socks adapted to every adventure to keep your feet dry,
- Choose a pair adapted to the height of the shaft (mid-height or high).
How to preserve waterproofing?
Imagine your shoe as a shield against water! Its water repellency makes it waterproof, breathable and lightweight. However, this power sometimes needs a little refreshing to remain effective. All it takes is a spray to invigorate the material and keep it ready for the elements.
How do I dry the inside of my pair?
To dry the inside of damp shoes effectively, first remove the insole. Then use newspaper to absorb the moisture, and change it regularly. Avoid direct heat sources, which can damage the material, and dry in a warm, dry, well-ventilated place.
