Are they warm enough for winter?
The combination of insulating sole and padded upper provides effective comfort against the cold.
First tested in the laboratory, then in the field with mixed users, the comfort temperature of our shoes ranges from -8°C statically to -17°C in motion.
Do they protect against all conditions?
Protecting against cold, snow and rain, our pair features a thin waterproof membrane that keeps feet dry and breathable. What's more, the midsole insulates against the cold when in contact with snow, so you can walk in winter with confidence.
What is thermal comfort?
The thermal comfort of your footwear comes from its ability to keep the foot warm, while maintaining air circulation to prevent moisture build-up. Designed for regular use, their waterproof membrane wicks away moisture while preventing water from penetrating the foot.
Are they 100% waterproof?
We've ensured that your shoes are waterproof through laboratory tests simulating feet half-submerged in water, use and ageing in the field.
Grip or adhesion? The differences
For grip, imagine the studs on the shoes as claws that grip the ground as you climb.
For grip, the ridges under the soles act like car tires, keeping you stable on slippery ground! With them, tame winter terrain like a boss!
What does Snow Contact technology offer?
The combination of grippy components and specific crampon design ensures good grip on snow. The crampons are precisely positioned and designed to hug the snow and evacuate water. However, for use on ice, add anti-slip grips.
How long will it last?
Our engineers carry out analyses to ensure that our products stand the test of time! They test everything from strap strength and bonding to UV resistance, abrasion and even ageing. Nothing escapes their vigilance to guarantee your complete satisfaction.
What to wear for a snow hike
To brave winter in style, here are our tips:
- Wool socks for maximum warmth,
- Breathable socks adapted to every adventure to keep your feet dry,
- Choose a pair adapted to the height of the shaft (mid-height or high).
How to preserve waterproofing?
Imagine your waterproof pair as a shield against water. Its water repellency makes it waterproof, breathable and lightweight. However, this power sometimes needs a little refreshing to remain effective. All it takes is a spritz of spray to invigorate the material and keep it weather-ready.
How do I dry the inside of my pair?
To effectively dry the inside of damp shoes, remove the insole, use newspaper to absorb the moisture and change it regularly. Avoid direct heat sources, which can damage the material, and dry in a warm, dry, well-ventilated place.
