Why do I need to wear padel-specific shoes?
Padel is played on synthetic turf with sand. This makes it extremely slippery to move. Padel shoes feature a sole with a specific geometry to give you the grip you need for players of all levels. They also provide lateral stability, foot support and shock-absorbing cushioning.
Mesh upper: stay dry all game long
The Kuikma PS 990 Dynamic features a mesh upper with excellent breathability and flexibility for optimum comfort that keeps your feet cool.
Dual Grip Padel sole
The padel sole that combines grip and adherence, grip for maximum grip when starting out and adherence without blocking when striking.
These advantages are obtained thanks to a dual-construction sole, front and rear, to adapt to every type of movement on a padel court.
Exclusively developed by our engineers Kuikma.
Stretch heel liner
Elastic sock-like structure gives your feet a snug fit to keep them firm throughout the match.
Pivot point
Given that padel is a sport in which you have to constantly change direction, Kuikma has decided to incorporate a pivot point in its shoes that promotes foot rotation. This is a circular element located at the front of the foot.
EVA foam
Eva foam is present in the midsole and heel. In the midsole, Kiukma has integrated Eva Cushioning, a dense foam that optimizes explosive movements, and in the heel, a low-density Eva insert for added comfort.
How to choose the right padel shoes?
Padel shoes have a big influence on sporting success, so when choosing one, you need to consider several aspects: comfort (the length of your foot, shoe size, materials, etc.); cushioning (technologies that provide good cushioning); stability (laces, a piece of fabric that fastens around the ankle and is incorporated so that your foot doesn't move); grip (sturdy soles); and, resistance.
