TECHNICAL INFORMATION

How is the grip defined on the NH500 KID children's shoe?

The grip of our soles is certified.
To qualify, the NH500 shoe must pass laboratory tests to evaluate the grip coefficient on different surfaces (smooth, rough, dry, wet).
To approve these tests, we then have the quality of our soles evaluated in the field, in the mountains, by a panel of child testers.

Which size should I choose for the NH500 KID children's hiking boot?

When hiking, don't hesitate to choose a size larger than your child's usual shoe size. This will ensure optimum comfort on the descent, and prevent toes from digging into the shoe's bottom. Tip: keep your child's fingernails short and, before going downhill, check that the Velcro and/or laces are properly fastened to prevent the foot from sliding forward.

How can I be sure that the NH500 KID hiking boot is right for my child?

Have your child try on both shoes, standing up, wearing the socks used for hiking.
Two points of comfort should be checked: the heel seat and the forefoot on descents. Avoid any compression points when trying on the shoes.
We also recommend that you gradually introduce your child to the shoes during the first few hikes. This way, they'll get used to your baby's feet.

Is the insole of the NH120 TW BOY children's hiking boot removable?

The insole of the NH120 TW BOY children's shoe is removable for faster drying. It can also be replaced by an orthopedic insole.
