TECHNICAL INFORMATION

THE FASTEST SHOE EVER DESIGNED AT DECATHLON

To achieve such a feat, we worked with the best internal and external partners. For the foam, we teamed up with Arkema, a leading French chemist. The result is VFOAM foam in Pebax® material, 20% more dynamic than conventional shoes. In-house, we developed the carbon plate with our innovation unit. The foam/carbon plate combo translates into 75% more energy restitution, just like a spring.

SUSTAINABLE PERFORMANCE

With the KD900X, there's no need to choose between performance and durability! At Kiprun , shoe durability is part of our DNA. In designing the KD900X, we placed particular emphasis on the mileage guarantee offered by the shoes. They have been tested by demanding runners, up to 1500kms by one of our testers!

LIGHTNESS FOR PERFORMANCE

Research and development studies have shown that a lighter product improves racing performance through better energy conservation. In designing the KIPRUN KD900X, we made no compromises on comfort and durability. We chose lighter components and worked on an optimized sole design. Result: the KIPRUN KD900X shoe weighs 225 g in size 42.

TESTED AND APPROVED BY OUR ATHLETE YOANN KOWAL

At the Lille half marathon on March 20, 2022, Yoann achieved a personal best of 1h02'17 on the KD900X, a real performance in a sanctioned race. Yoann particularly appreciated the bike's light weight and excellent roadholding, especially on wet surfaces in hairpin bends.

Composition

Sole in 65% Polyether block amide, 25% Synthetic rubber, 10% Carbon Exterior in 80% Polyester, 20% Polyurethane Interior in 100% Polyester

TESTS

The KD900X has been tested in intensive use by 20 very demanding testers on long and short split sessions. They appreciated the shoe's energy return and its durability, as the KD900X performs up to 1000kms.
