TECHNICAL INFORMATION

LIGHTNESS

The QST Access 70 T is one of the lightest junior boots on the market, enabling children to ski longer during the day.

BACKBONE

A magnesium piece that links the top collar to the bottom of the hull, for a rear support that improves rebound out of turns (rebound effect) and allows a progressive but powerful front flex. Ideal for freeride and freestyle.

HIKE & RIDE TECHNOLOGY

Patented system that combines backbone unlocking and the specific V-shape at the rear of the lower shell. It enables the back of the collar to be opened wide in walking mode (backbone unlocked) and to achieve true alpine flex on descents (backbone locked), as the backbone fits perfectly into the V-shaped lower shell.

HOOK ADJUSTMENT

3 micro alumix hooks.

CHAUSSANT

Wide fit for comfort and warmth, for those who want to ski everywhere. Good heel support thanks to preformed foam in the malleoli.

WHAT IS FLEX?

To give an indication of the shoe's rigidity, brands define a flex index. The higher the value, the stiffer the shell. We consider that:
A flex of 60 is designed for intermediate to advanced skiers.
A flex of 65 to 75 is for advanced skiers.
Above 75, products are designed for experts.
However, larger skiers can move up a level.

HOW DO I TRY ON A SKI BOOT?

Once the foot is in the shoe, close the hooks halfway. Can you go any further? This means that the shoe's volume doesn't suit you. Once your shoes are closed, perform 3 large flexions by pressing hard on your shins (put your hands on your knees) to move your heel back into the shoe. Stand up straight: you should be able to touch the tip of the shell. When flexing, your foot should move backwards and you should no longer be able to feel the toe.

HOW DO I OPTIMIZE COMFORT IN MY SKI BOOTS?

There are many ways to optimize foot comfort in a ski boot. A ski boot should be close to the foot. To improve support, there are insoles adapted to the shape of your arch, volume reducers and heel risers.

HOW TO KEEP YOUR FEET WARM?

Often overlooked, drying the liner is the most important step in keeping your feet warm. Even at -10°C, the foot perspires and the liner cannot dry on its own in its plastic shell, even over several days. Ideally, you should take them out every day. Shoe dryers are more practical, as you don't need to take the slipper out - just plug them in!
