A word from the product manager
Introducing the first children's ski boot Wedze with adjustable sizing. We've sought the best compromise between foot support and comfort, so that little skiers can concentrate fully on learning to ski, without the hassle of wearing the wrong size ski boots.
How to set up your Pumzi?
1/ Put the boot on the child.
2/ Inflate the adjustment system by pressing the plus (+) button 20 times.
3/ Lock the bottom hook halfway (2 or 3rd hook), then tighten the top hook as much as necessary.
4/ Ask the child: if he feels comfortable, you're ready to ski. If it's too tight, you can relieve it by briefly pressing the minus (-) button. You can repeat this operation 3 times.
Opening/closing system
The 2 4-position hooks enable fast, precise adjustment. The inflatable system provides good support for the foot in the shoe. Inflate the liner before closing the hooks, for the best possible fit.
Environment
Our slippers are made from phthalate-free plastics.
What's flex?
To give an indication of the shoe's rigidity, brands define a flex index for each shoe. The higher the value, the stiffer the shell. A flex of 40 is considered ideal for children's progress.
Shoeing tips
For easier donning, pull the tongue outwards (not straight outwards) to open the shells as much as possible and make it easier for the foot to pass through.
What is my child's shoe size?
Ski boot sizes are expressed in Mondopoint sizes. This is the length of the foot in cm.
Place your heels against a wall, slide a sheet of paper underneath, bend over and measure the longest foot.
For example, if your foot is 27.2cm long, you should choose size 27/27.5.
A size 27 boot is exactly the same as a 27.5.
How do I try on a ski boot?
Once the foot is in the shoe, close the hook halfway. If the child can go further, it means that the shoe's volume is not right for him. Once the shoe is closed, he should lean forward to push the heel back into the shoe. Standing up straight, he should touch the toe of the shell. When he flexes, his foot should move backwards and he should no longer feel the toe.
Tip: Remove the liner from the shell and put the child's foot inside to check.
