Are they warm enough for winter?
The choice of leather and a large volume provides effective insulation against the cold.
We tested the level of warmth in the laboratory and then in the field with mixed users. The comfort temperature of our shoes ranges from -10°C in a static position to -19°C in motion.
Do they protect against all conditions?
Designed with leather and a waterproof, breathable membrane affixed to the inside of the textile, they keep your feet warm and dry. The midsole and mid-upper with synthetic lining insulate and protect against the ingress of cold and snow.
Are they 100% waterproof?
We've ensured that your shoes are waterproof through laboratory tests simulating feet half-submerged in water, use and ageing in the field.
What is thermal comfort?
The thermal comfort of your footwear comes from its ability to keep your feet warm and dry, while maintaining air circulation to prevent moisture build-up. Designed for frequent use, their waterproof membranes evacuate moisture while preventing water penetration.
Grip or adhesion? The differences
For grip, imagine the studs on the shoes as claws that grip the ground as you climb.
For grip, the ridges under the soles act like car tires, keeping you stable on slippery ground! With them, tame winter terrain like a boss!
What does Snow Contact technology offer?
The combination of grippy components and specific crampon design ensures superb grip on snow. The crampons are precisely positioned and designed to hug the snow and evacuate water. However, for use on ice, add anti-slip grips.
Is foot support essential?
Good boot support is essential for your comfort and performance on snow. It stabilizes your steps on both ascents and descents, and prevents you from overheating, reducing fatigue and preserving your energy during mountain outings.
How long will it last?
To ensure your complete satisfaction, our engineers subject our products to a battery of laboratory tests. These include eyelet and strap resistance, bonding quality, toxicological safety, UV resistance, sole and upper longevity, and accelerated aging.
Why choose a leather shoe?
Leather is ultra-comfortable, resistant and supple. It's waterproof, breathable and naturally thermoregulating. A combo that feels warm in winter and cool in mid-season. For maintenance, remember to use a soft brush from time to time, to optimize its lifespan.
What to wear for a snow hike
To equip yourself for winter, we recommend that you choose socks:
- Warm: merino wool,
- Breathable: depending on the intensity of the outing, to limit humidity,
- High or Mid: depending on the height of the shoe upper.
How to preserve waterproofing?
Imagine your waterproof pair as a shield against water. Its water repellency makes it waterproof, breathable and lightweight. However, this power sometimes needs a little refreshing to remain effective. All it takes is a spritz of spray to invigorate the material and keep it weather-ready.
How do I dry the inside of my pair?
To effectively dry the inside of damp shoes, remove the insole, use newspaper to absorb the moisture and change it regularly. Avoid direct heat sources, which can damage the material, and dry in a warm, dry, well-ventilated place.
