TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Buying advice

Try on both shoes, standing up, with the socks used for hiking.
Try on several models, several sizes if necessary.
Two comfort points to check: the heel seat (the heel does not lift off or very little) and the front of the foot when going downhill (the toes do not touch the tip).
Avoid any points of compression when trying on shoes.
Do not hesitate to walk around the store.
Use your shoes gradually during the first few hikes to get them to fit your feet.

Maintenance tips

Use a brush to clean the shoe and remove any residues of dirt or mud. Always rub with the brush in the same direction to restore the nubuck's original appearance.
On crusted leather, it is not advisable to use nourishing cream and waterproof grease. This is not a problem in itself, but it would alter the aesthetic appearance of the shoe.

Advantages of the locking hook

Effectively dissociate the lacing of the lower and upper parts
This allows you to adjust the lacing to the shape of your foot and give your ankle more or less freedom. To lock this first tightening of the lower part, tie a simple knot at instep level, or use your shoe's blocker.
