TECHNICAL INFORMATION

THE WINNING CUSHIONED-DYNAMIC COMBO

The new VFOAM foam (pebax® technology) developed with Arkema provides both comfort and energy restitution. The dynamic material (pebax®) is placed under the areas where plantar pressure is greatest during ground contact (heel, metatarsals). This pebax® material is combined with a denser EVA on the outer contour of the sole to help the foot roll smoothly.

A SEAMLESS MOLDED STEM

The upper has been specifically constructed to avoid chafing. It is made of a single piece, and the tongue and heel are pressed and molded for maximum comfort.

LEGERETE

The weight of a running shoe has a major impact on energy expenditure and therefore on the runner's performance: the lighter the shoe, the greater its contribution to performance. VFOAM foam has been selected in particular for its lightweight properties. Our engineers also worked on optimizing the weight of the KD500 2 through generative design of the sole geometry: more studs in the areas of greatest use.

Our sole has been designed like a car tire for efficient running without loss of control, even when it's raining. The new sole geometry combined with high-performance rubber gives the KIPRUN KD500 2 excellent grip on wet surfaces, even at top speed.

All our shoes are tested for comfort and use by a panel of testers from outside Décathlon, under conditions identical to those you would find in use. The aim is to test, develop and validate the product as objectively as possible, so that you can run with complete peace of mind.
