We're not afraid to say it: the Race Light was the essential we'd been missing. Indispensable, because it is aimed at a minority of trail runners with specific needs that are often forgotten: high-level runners. And for good reason: there's only one place on the top step of the podium!
With that in mind, there was no stopping us! It was decided, the RACE LIGHT trail shoe would accompany the fastest strides!
MATRYX®: A TOP-OF-THE-RANGE MATERIAL FOR PERFORMANCE AND QUALITY
In a trail race, every gram counts. That's why we work with Matryx® and its patented textile component, renowned in the world of trail running. Produced in the Rhône-Alpes region of France, the Matryx® textile used in our RACE LIGHT running shoe is made of high-tenacity polyester coated with polyurethane, giving it high resistance to tearing and abrasion, as well as excellent breathability. We've added aramid yarn to this weave for even greater support.
ANATOMY OF A SHARP SHOE
To make these trail shoes even more powerful, we've incorporated the Up Bar® concept into RACE LIGHT. This technology, borrowed from Kiprun (road running), optimizes the dynamism of your stride and its energy return by stiffening these two supports without hindering the movement of your foot.
This plate, developed with podiatrists, takes the form of a raised ridge running along the sole of the RACE LIGHT for a natural stride and unrivalled performance.
WHEN RACE LIGHT RHYMES WITH PERFORMANCE
Designed to be worn in competition from 0 to 40, for up to 3 hours of running, or during training sessions, the RACE LIGHT trail shoe won't budge! Fitted for the slim feet of fast, competitive trail runners. All you have to do is focus on your goals and run as fast as you can.

REUNION ISLAND: THE SETTING FOR A DEMANDING TEST
Our RACE LIGHT trail running shoe has been tested on an ultra-demanding playground: Reunion Island. For our testers, we selected runners with an ITRA rating of no less than 700. Result: the RACE LIGHT was put through its paces! "In particular, I had them run flat out on a 2.5 km loop, which they had to complete several times - they had to go for it!" says Thierry BREUIL, former top-level runner and product manager for this shoe.
A NEW LACE POCKET...
As far as lacing is concerned, our teams have worked long and hard on an improved lace storage system. Securing your laces in a pocket simply prevents them from loosening, or getting caught in branches or low vegetation.
What's special about this solid, stretchable pocket? It opens not at the top, but at the bottom, at the front of the trail shoe. In this way, the laces are better distributed in the pocket.

To ensure your comfort and prevent injury, it's essential to carefully choose the right size for your RACE LIGHT trail running shoes. Make sure that the space between your heel and the back of the shoe is adequate, as is the protection for your foot on descents. Take the time to walk and jog around the store to make sure there's no rubbing. The podium is yours!
