UV PROTECTION: WHAT DOES UPF 40 MEAN?
The UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) index corresponds to tests carried out on a fabric using a spectrophotometer.
UPF 40 means that the fabric allows only 1/40th of UV rays to pass through, making it one of the highest levels of protection against the sun's rays.
MAXIMUM COVERAGE AGAINST UV RAYS
To limit the risk of skin damage from the desert sun, this shirt is designed to ensure maximum coverage of your epidermis:
> Long sleeves beveled at the wrist to protect hands
> Collar can be turned up to cover the nape of the neck
HEAT MANAGEMENT
To better manage desert heat, this lightweight, loose-fitting shirt features openings at the belly and back.
This prevents the fabric from sticking to the skin, allowing air to circulate and limiting perspiration.
Back vents won't work with a backpack stuck to the back. The Desert 500 backpack lets the back vents work properly.
