Why wear this ankle brace?
This ankle support may be indicated in cases of ligament instability or apprehension, to facilitate the return to sport (basketball, soccer, handball, tennis, badminton, running, trail running, gymnastics, judo) after a mild to moderate sprain. What is a sprain?
An ankle sprain is a stretching or tearing of the ankle ligaments. It usually occurs either as a result of imbalance on slippery surfaces, or during spontaneous movement or active play. It is estimated that ankle sprains are the most common sports injury, occurring at least 6,000 times a day!
What size ankle brace should I choose?
Measure your ankle circumference, 5 cm above the malleoli. Then match the measured value with the following size chart:
Size 1: 20 - 22 cm
Size 2: 22 - 23.5 cm
Size 3: 23.5 - 25 cm
Size 4: 25 - 26.5 cm
Why protect your ankles?
It's important that, when you return to sport after a sprain, you have recovered as much of your physical ability as possible, particularly through ankle rehabilitation. After a first sprain, the risk of recurrence is high, hence the need to protect them.
