Thermal insulation details
The suit is made of panels with 5 mm of neoprene (with production tolerances).
Distribution:
Thermospan on the bust and back to increase the feeling of warmth
Supratex on the knees, buttocks and under the feet to better resist rubbing
Smooth Glideskin sleeves on the extremities and neck: the smooth part is to be turned inside out to stick to the skin and prevent water ingress.
Thermal protection should be sought using undergarments.
Waterproofing
The metal zipper on the back is fully waterproof.
We recommend greasing it regularly with kerosene to extend its life and make it easier to close the suit.
The seams of the suit and hood are GBS (Glued and Blind Stitched): the neoprene is first glued, then stitched for maximum strength (the needle does not go all the way through the neoprene to prevent water infiltration).
Si-tech valves
Freedom of movement
One-piece (balaclava sold separately).
No underarm seams to facilitate arm mobility and prevent chafing. Pre-shaped cut on arms and legs, with cambered loins for ease of movement.
Friction resistance
Ergonomic supratex reinforcements on knees, buttocks and underfoot.
as well as on shoulders and lower back. These reinforcements limit the effects of friction for less wear and tear on the suit. The inner seams are stopped by patches to increase their strength. Glued/sewn GBS seams are made of nylon thread rather than polyester, for greater resistance.
Computer locking system on both arms.
What is a drysuit?
The drysuit allows you to completely isolate yourself from the environment. The construction of the suit is entirely watertight: seams, ZIP and sleeves.
Under the effect of pressure, the air trapped in the suit at the time of donning compresses and causes a suction effect. To compensate for this, you need to add air via the pectoral valve on descent, and remove it via the biceps valve on ascent.
Tips for maintaining your wetsuit
1) Soak the suit on the outside in clear water after each session.
2) Use a bactericidal solution to sanitize.
3) Rinse well in clear water.
4) Dry on a wide hanger, right side up. Caution: the sun discolors the textile parts of the suit and accelerates the aging of the neoprene.
Zippers can be cleaned with a toothbrush and lubricated with silicone grease.
Certification
This scuba diving suit has been tested by the independent institute INPP (Marseille-France) to validate its compliance with the current standard (NF EN 14225-2:2017).
